In this class you’ll learn how easy it is to make your own soap and you’ll never want to buy soap from a store again! On day one, you’ll learn about safety in soap making and then go “hands-on” to make your own loaf of soap. As you are preparing your soap, Pam will go over the basics of saponification, hot process soap procedure, safety with lye, and how and when to add colorants and fragrances. Different fragrance and color combinations will be available to choose from.
Day two will be unmolding and cutting the soap loaves. We’ll discuss curing times and option of how to finish your bars in different ways to make them either rustic or professional.
Everyone will leave class with a full loaf of soap (approximately 11 bars) as well as with the recipe to make more in the comfort of your own home.
