One sample is rectangular, the other is closer to a square. Rectangular sample has a seam down the middle. Woven from single ply wool. Woven by Melinda Evelyn Farrar Brace born April 25, 1825 in Rush, Genesse Co. N.Y. Died April 17, 1903 in Pekin, Niagara Co. N.Y. She was my Grandmother. Jane McCagg." In different handwriting, possibly Elizabeth Terlouw's, it reads, "Gift of Mrs. Frank McCagg, Brockport N.Y." ...View Full Record

Tagged, "Border (up arrow) with corner. Main (down arrow) part of blanket. Blanket in two sections." Tagged in different handwriting. "From note attached to ruth Holroyd's sample in Betty Terlouw's handwriting 'wool blanket made in two sections. Pattern was four 8" squares.
