Description: | Scrap of a blanket. Faded red (now pinkish), blue and brown plaid. Rectangular shaped with fine white blanketstitching around edges to prevent fraying. Twill weave. Heavy wool.
Tagged, "Red Plaid. Woven by Melinda Evelyn Farrar Brace born April 25, 1825 in Rush, Genesse Co. N.Y. Died April 17, 1903 in Pekin, Niagara Co. N.Y. She was my Grandmother. Jane McCagg." In different handwriting, possibly Elizabeth Terlouw's, it reads, "Gift of Mrs. Frank McCagg, Brockport N.Y."
