Object Name: Fragment, woven
Description: Coverlet fragment - black and white (but yellowed). Overshot weave; Pattern of intersecting circles with block in center, Methodist Wheel and Whig Rose (clusters of roses and wheels). Hemmed on one side; one selvedge.
(B) Warp is set at 40 epi. and is natural cotton. Weft is black wool, but appears dark brown.
Observation on catalog card reads, "Band was cut lengthwise up the middle, A is one side with selvedge, and B is the other side with selvedge. The selvedge threadings are different."
