Six rectangular samples in greys, black, taupe and off-white. Constructed of heavy wool. Warp is off white. Weft shots have three yarn strands per shot. Jean Penoyer and Sonja Wahl recorded: found in Tidball’s Surface Weaves. Complicated threading. 18 threads to the inch, ppi 24. Similar 3 in grey tones. Rachel Maines noted that these were for furnishing fabric.
