Brown woolen rug in Summer and Winter weave. Design of rectangles and bands in light brown, dark brown and purple. All warp and weft in wool. Hems are tightly finished in Persian wool crochet. Block rug from Berta Frey’s book Designing and Drafting for Handweavers, page 151, Figure 157C. The related sample, object B, is housed in an acid-free sleeve and matches final design.
