Indigo blue silk satin Chinese robe. Elaborate embroidery in many colors depicting floral sprigs, figural scenes, and butterflies in central sections of robe. Borders and cuffs show flowers and fauna in medallions outlined in gold or brass threads. Borders also show pleats and applique work. Solid gold molded or carved buttons are almost spherical.
