Shawl? – Indian. Cream colored cashmere with embroidered edge in a very fine paisley pattern. (Red, blue, purple, green, yellow). Purple edge attached to two sides with overcast stitch. Other two sides have fringe. Two spots of red embroidery near the center and two spots of purple embroidery near the two corners might possibly be lettering (not in English).
