Coverlet fragment – Natural cotton and black (which appears dark brown). Overshot weave. Pattern is Methodist Wheel, Whig Rose (clusters of roses and wheels). One selvedge. (A) Warp is set at 37 epi. weft is black, but appears dark brown. Observation on catalog card reads, Band was cut lengthwise up the middle, A is one side with selvedge, and B is the other side with selvedge. The selvedge threadings are different.
