Coverlet fragment – Indigo blue and white/natural. Overshot weave, Pattern is in Cross and Table category – woven as Indian War or Star of Sharon. Attached note reads, Piece contains border pattern – is incorrectly woven for 1st block, the correctly woven block has been sewn on incorrect block folded under in order to show how block design goes into border. Cotton warp and weft; Wool pattern weft. A has lengthy note about the weaving.
