Large section of multicolored yardage in yarns of varying plys and thicknesses. Weave structure may be double weave with lower warp of black threads and upper warp of colorful yarns, all in twill variations. Predominant colors are rose, rust, blue and green. Two selvedges, one fringe end and one reinforced cut end. Colorful yarns all appear to be handspun wool. Many are single ply and some are two ply, boucle or black-thread-wrapped. Original card notes maker as Klara Cherepov. It also notes this as a complex weave. Handwritten note, possibly from Klara Cherepov says: Keep – use for advanced students / … / KC drafting / British book
