Large table runner; predominant colors are orange, yellow and green. Double weave structure with irregular twill checks and horizontal bands of leno weave. Warp threads varied; include cotton floss, cotton boucle, and fine s-twist cotton yarn. Weft includes the same yarns plus an occasional heavier wool yarn in varying colors. Occasional bands of deep turquoise. Paper tag with handwritten description reads: Heavy yarns; / Linen boucle / 6 strand floss / Thin yarn; / 20/2 yellow… Makers tag sewn on corner reads: Hand Woven / by / Lucille Landis / Old Greenwich, Conn. Original catalog states: Companion piece to a hanging made for display at the World Fair in N.Y.C, 1965.
