Fabric sample – Double faced, natural wool and grey heather, two shades of grey and black with black lozenge motifs, and scallops stripes in weft of black and 2 shades of grey. Attached tag reads Holland. Upholstery – or used as design for a rug. Weave: Twill variations, Double faced. Warp: Cotton, natural. Weft: Wool. Design is slightly different on each side. There are 2 wefts; each is woven in such a way as to create a weft faced fabric on each side using a common warp thread to connect the layers as a single cloth.
