Coverlet – Indigo blue and white coverlet, with 16 snowballs and pine tree border on three sides. Woven in two panels, seamed and hemmed at both ends. Double cloth weave. Double cloth weave 5 blocks (20 shafts). Pattern includes 16 snowballs with pine tree border. Warp 1 is cotton, natural. Warp 2 is wool, dark indigo blue. Wefts are the same. Note from Ruth Holroyd on old catalog card says purchased at an antique show and sale. Bargain. Cheap because it had just come back from Speedy Dry Cleaners, ruined; the center just disappeared. Purchased as an example for teaching.
