The corner has eagle with shield, arrows and branches and reads, 1852 Hepsey Filkins There is additional writing, the begining of which is cut off, that reads, …RLEN GENESEE. CO. N.Y. There is also a seam where two woven panels were sewn together to make the larger coverlet.
