Coverlet fragment. Natual cotton and rose color. Two fragments, seamed through the center at selvedges, turned under for a wide hem. Overshot weave. Star and roses with table. Weave pattern is sixteen chariot wheels. Warp is cotton, natural. Weft is cotton, natural. Singles (unusual for overshot) Pattern weft is wool, rose, highly twisted. Script reads the ‘windows’ within the table are sharp and clear, easily distinguished as being an example of a ‘fancy table’.
