2017 Seasonal Office Intern

Term of Employment:  June - August

Pay Rate:  $10 per hour

Hours:  Maximum 38 hours per week.

Standard hours are Tuesday – Friday, 9am – 5pm; Saturday, 10am – 4 pm.

Occasional evening and weekend work is required.

Reports to: Executive Director



  1. Greet visitors as they enter the museum, collect admission and oversee visitor’s self-guided tour.

  2. Assist with the design and production of seasonal promotional materials.

  3. Post Facebook and Instagram updates, and coordinate Constant Contact social media.

  4. Field work – post fliers and event signage; distribute and replenish catalog and rack card inventory.

  5. Help to input data into PastPerfect database records for membership, mailings, media etc.

  6. Answer phone and direct calls, messages, etc…

  7. Handle class registrations and special program and/or event sign-ups as needed.

  8. Process gallery sales and record appropriately as needed.

  9. Assist staff with clerical and administrative needs as requested.

  10. Assist staff to carry out special events, exhibitions, and some educational programming.

  11. Assist with bulk mailings and other correspondence as needed.

  12. Encourage membership purchases and class registrations.

  13. Maintain tidy office, galleries, kitchen and bathrooms.

  14. Very proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)

  15. Well-versed in a variety of social media platforms

  16. Driver’s license preferred.
