CORN HUSK PAPERMAKING

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own paper using corn husks. Lessons will include the proper use of a mould and deckle, fiber preparation and sheet formation using corn husks as well as flax and/or cotton rag. Each student will create a number of 12”x 14” pieces of traditional handmade paper, as well as learning some lamination and stenciling techniques. Instructions on how to dry and flatten your paper will be included so you can take your paper home on the same day.
