In all paintings, we create shapes, not things. Painting a sunset is simple when we understand how to create the end of day mood with the dark silhouettes. This class will teach you how to apply watercolor in the correct order to achieve a pleasing and captivating image. The emphasis will be on washes and gradations. Class will open with a refresher on edges and textures, followed by a short exercise related to the afternoon painting.

You’ll be working on a 10” x 10” surface using a palette of Cadmium Red Light, Cadmium Yellow Medium, and Prussian Blue. Students are required to bring their own equipment and a suggested materials list is available upon registration.
