Pastels – incredible sticks of almost pure pigment, are known for their versatility, rich color, and expressiveness. In three fun afternoons you’ll learn application techniques, how to create an underpainting, and understand why a range of values matters. There will be demonstrations, hand-outs, and plenty of time to play with this great medium. All materials will be supplied. Bring some photo references (phone or tablet images are fine), and be prepared to get messy!
