Kathy Hanna Joins Arts Center Board
The Thousand Islands Arts Center (TIAC) is pleased to welcome Kathleen Hanna to its Board of Trustees, effective immediately.
A native of Syracuse, Kathy’s professional career was spent at Mutual of New York (MONY) in Syracuse, and included stints as director of training, director of employment, customer service and others. A Syracuse University alumna, Kathy spent her childhood summers on Frontenac (now Round) Island. She now divides her time between Murray Isle and Washington, North Carolina, on the Pamlico River.

So long, for now, but not good-bye…
Joy Rhinebeck, most recently Events Coordinator, has moved on from the Arts Center after more than 20 years as part of the TIAC family. A longtime Arts Center student, volunteer, employee, instructor, trustee, and board chair, Joy and I have worked side-by-side since 2013 when I first was recruited to join the Arts Center’s Development Committee. And after a few short months, hired me as interim executive director. After School Arts is here!
Now open for enrollment! There is a fabulous selection of projects in store. Plus, this season we are excited to announce a special collaboration with Save the River! During weeks 2 and 3, Lauren Eggleston, Program Coordinator at Save the River, will join ASA instructor Shannon Walter in a fun and educational exploration of ice formations, the river, and the creatures that live in the cold.
