Coverlet fragment – Three shades of brown, Overshot weave; Warp: cotton, natural, hand spun, plied; Weft: finer cotton, natural; Pattern weft: three shades of brown wool, handspun. Selvedge on one side, draft included. Handwritten note from Terlouw reads, A most unusual coverlet in the fact that the pattern weft is made up of two strands of different colored yarns. [Ruth Holroyd believes it is actually 3] The draft given is really an educated guess, as there are a great number of errors, even some doubled warps.
