Coverlet fragment – Indigo blue and white/natural. Block weave, Overshot in Cross and Table category – woven as Indian War or Star of Sharon. Attached note reads, Piece contains border pattern – is incorrectly woven for 1st block, the correctly woven block has been sewn on incorrect block folded under in order to show how block design goes into border. Catalog card updated note 1995: Ruth Holroyd disagrees with her own note regarding the pattern name, because the half-circle characteristic of Indian War is missing. This needs further analysis and identification.
