Greyish beige and brown wall hanging. Two large horizontal bands of basket weave on a background of plain weave. Colors are gently graduated from light at sides to dark down middle. Accession register notes say woven and donated by Louise Deller, 1983. Rod pocket at top formed by looped warp yarns. Length of hanging folded over at top to form fringed top border. Long fringe at bottom with alternating rows of square knots for lacy appearance. Two selvedges, two fringed ends. Wooden dowel in rod pocket. All yarns are two ply S twist wool of medium weight. All weft yarns are light greyish brown. Warp yarns graduate f rom light greyish brown at sides to greyish brown to brown down middle.
