Along The River’s Edge
The North Country’s premier regional art exhibition and sale, Along The River’s Edge (ATRE) is a benefit for both artists and the Arts Center. As the most celebrated and longest running TIAC exhibition, ATRE has earned a reputation amongst summer residents and local art collectors alike as the “must see” show each summer. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- Artwork need not be river-themed.
- All artwork must be original and not previously exhibited at TIAC.
- Finished artwork may not exceed 24″x36″.
- Jury fees: $25 members; $40 non-members; nonrefundable, for up to two pieces.
- Artwork must be offered for sale. TIAC will retain a 30% commission on all artwork sold and the artist receives 70% of retail price. Pricing is done at the artist’s discretion. Note: the commission split has changed from previous years (60/40), so please take this into consideration when pricing your work.
- All artwork will be juried from digital images sent via email or through the form below. Submission of printed photos, slides, or actual artwork will not be reviewed.
- Please submit high resolution JPG, PNG, or TIFF images of artwork. Include artist’s name and title of piece(s) in the file name. Images must be at least 200 dpi resolution. The juror(s) only have your image to judge from, so make sure you represent your piece(s) well! Photos of artwork should be clear and against a plain background. For more information on how to photograph your work for juried shows, there are a lot of references online such as this one.
- All digital entries must be shown in their finished state as they will be displayed in the gallery. Artwork must be delivered to TIAC “gallery ready” with any applicable hardware attached.
- Accepted artwork must be on display for the duration of the show.
- TIAC reserves the right to deny any pieces not accurately represented, or not adequately suited for display/hanging at the time of installation.
- Artwork that has not been picked up within 30 days of the exhibition’s closing date will become the property of TIAC.
- TIAC is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of artwork.
- Artists who wish to insure their work must make their own arrangements and inform TIAC of insurance conditions.
- The Artist releases digital images and artwork itself for use in promotional materials as deemed fit by TIAC (including but not limited to television, internet, and print). The artist maintains ownership of the copyright on their images.
- Accepted mediums include: painting, drawing, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, sculpture, basketry, mixed media and photography.
