The making of Dorset Buttons was a cottage industry in England for over two centuries, employing 7000 artisans at its peak. In this class, you will learn several basic techniques, get inspiration from vintage and modern designs, and go home with instructions, references and as many finished buttons/ornaments as we have time for.  Besides being used as a colorful and unique button, Dorset buttons can be made into earrings, pins, necklaces, ornaments, and so many other creative uses.
