EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

The Thousand Islands Arts Center ~ Home of the Handweaving Museum presents a renowned rotating selection of exhibitions each year including solo, group, traveling, and juried exhibitions. While the Arts Center’s priority is on promoting and supporting local and regional artists, any and all artists are welcome to submit proposals for exhibition. 

Are you interested in exhibiting at the Arts Center? Please use the following guidelines to submit your proposal. All materials and inquiries should be directed to Marina at marina@tiartscenter.org

Note: Exhibitions are generally planned a minimum of two years in advance. 
 
ELIGIBILITY
Regional, national and international artists working in any medium over the age of 18 are eligible for application. TIAC welcomes artists of all backgrounds and experience levels, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, or identity.
 
ARTIST GUIDELINES
Please email the following:
– Letter of interest and/or an artist statement
– Resume/CV
– A description of your proposed exhibition including theme, number of pieces, scale of artwork, and potential exhibit titles.
– A list of pieces included in the proposed exhibition. This should include title, date, medium, price (if for sale), and dimensions.
– Images of your work for consideration
– Artist website/Instagram/Facebook information, if any
 
NOTES ON THE SELECTION PROCESS
Exhibitions are reviewed and planned through an Exhibition Committee. Special consideration is given to local and regional artists whose work reflects a high level of experience and expertise. As the Arts Center maintains an annual exhibition budget, costs associated with the exhibition, as well as the fundability of the project, are taken into consideration when accepting proposals.
