ENTRY GUIDELINES
- Each participating artist will receive one blank wooden fish as the base for their artwork. Fish blanks may be picked up at the Arts Center starting April 6. Note: we will not be shipping them.
- Artists may alter, decorate, or transform the fish using any medium or style, including paint, collage, fabric, assemblage, carving, or mixed media. Turn it into a mosaic, or a table, or a hanging mobile! We want to see your imaginations run wild. The only requirement is that the original fish blank must be used in some way.
- Added materials must be securely attached and safe for public display (no sharp edges or hazardous elements)
- Finished pieces must include appropriate display hardware – such as a securely attached hanging wire, sawtooth hanger, or stand – so the work is read to install.
- Each submission must include on the back: artist/organization name, title, medium(s) used, and price (if applicable)
- Artists are encouraged to sell their pieces. TIAC will retain a 30% commission on all artwork sold and the artist receives 70% of retail price. Pricing is done at the artist’s discretion.
- Artwork must be on display for the duration of the show.
- TIAC reserves the right to deny any pieces not accurately represented, or not adequately suited for display/hanging at the time of installation.
- Artwork that has not been picked up within 30 days of the exhibition’s closing date will become the property of TIAC.
- TIAC is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of artwork.
- Artists who wish to insure their work must make their own arrangements and inform TIAC of insurance conditions.
- The Artist releases digital images and artwork itself for use in promotional materials as deemed fit by TIAC (including but not limited to television, internet, and print). The artist maintains ownership of the copyright on their images.
