After School Arts
Designed for kids to unwind and enjoy after school time with their peers while learning and creating, After School Arts (ASA) is open to youth in grades K-8. These classes introduce kids to many artistic disciplines including pottery, painting, sculpting, mosaics, collage, and jewelry, among others. While working in each discipline, kids are given a background of some of the major artists in the field.
ASA is offered in the Spring (February – April) and Fall (October – December) and scholarships are available.
Note: In the event of school closures due to weather, ASA will also be cancelled.
The Thousand Islands Arts Center’s programming is made possible by the Mary and Ted Mascott Children’s Art Fund, established to support children’s access to the arts, funding from RBC Foundation USA and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State.
