Two pieces of woven silk sewn together. Fabric is dark brown with ivory flecks. There is a note on fabric that is very difficult to read, possibly describing the weaving and dye technique. Old catalog card says it is twice woven, mud dyed. Handwoven silk in brown and natural fine check formed by resist effect of dying in mud in first weaving.
