In this class, you’ll learn to see the full spectrum of colors and how to use them in more expressive ways, bringing life to your paintings. We’ll begin with a few painting exercises exploring the relationship between colors and values; how we perceive them relative to their surroundings, light, time of day, atmosphere, and distance. The power of underpainting will also be discussed, as well as finding the colors in cast shadows and overcast days. Learning to use color effectively to add a radiant glow can move your painting up to the next level!
