Learn how to hand build a functional, rectangular or round woven ceramic basket. This one-day class is ideal for those wishing to expand their handbuilding techniques, but is also appropriate for those new to handbuilding, as step-by-step instruction will be provided. The basket will be created in one day, however it will need to dry and be bisque-fired before glazing. A glazing time will be scheduled once the piece has been bisque-fired. The finished, glaze-fired basket is food-safe and ideal as a serving vessel. Once you learn the basic techniques you can go on to create a variety of baskets in various shapes and sizes.
