*Please make your choice of harness when registering. The decorative harness is tighter to the basket, while the custom harness is a longer length harness to fit around your shoulders.

The Custom Junior is a small decorative version of a traditional Adirondack Pack basket. This is a great size for a waste basket or mail basket. You’ll start with pre-cut spokes, weave the base, then change reed and do a continuous weave up the sides. Linda will teach you the techniques and tips to create the belly in the front which is unique to this basket, while keeping a straight back and sides. To finish it off, you’ll add a hand carved hardwood handle, fit the rim to the basket, and lash. You’ll complete the Adirondack look with your choice of custom leather or webbing harness. The leather harness is dark brown and the webbing selection of colors are black, navy blue, and olive green. Please wear comfortable clothes, and bring a lunch and drink. Baskets will not be stained in class.
