The Arts Center Hires Executive Director

Clayton – Thousand Islands Arts Center is pleased to announce Sarah Riddoch has been hired as its executive director as of Sept. 1. She has been working as the interim executive director for the past eight months.

Robin Lucas, search committee chairperson and trustee, says, “Sarah’s knowledge, positive and practical thinking, local connections, enthusiasm, and commitment to the future of the Arts Center is just perfect. I look forward to supporting and continuing to work with her.”

“We are fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and forward-thinking leader on our team,” Arts Center’s Board Chairperson Jan Hampton says.

“It’s an exciting time for the Arts Center! As our campus is expanding with a new facility being built on James Street, and so many events and exhibitions we’re planning, it makes me proud to be a part of this organization. I look forward to our evolution into being the cultural hub of the north country!” Sarah replies when asked how she feels about the new position.

The Thousand Islands Arts Center is open year-round, five days a week, and has a staff of five, four full-time and one part-time. Classes are offered year-round and exhibitions and events are open to the public.
