ARTS CENTER WELCOMES NEW EVENTS COORDINATOR

CLAYTON, NY (May 16, 2022) – The Thousand Islands Arts Center (TIAC) is pleased to announce that Alexis Hampson has been named Events Coordinator, effective immediately.

Leslie W. Rowland, TIAC’s Executive Director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Alexis to our team. With her diverse experience working in education and event management, Alexis is the perfect candidate to manage TIAC’s many exhibition openings and events.”

 
Alexis, a Colorado native, relocated to the 1000 Islands last year, and has been substitute teaching in several North Country school districts. In addition to her classroom experience, she was the former event and tour manager for Outlier Productions in Evergreen, Colorado, where she was responsible for event management, production and activation, as well as event and travel logistics around the country. Alexis also brings a wealth of experience in mobile marketing brand strategy, brand retail training, and tech rep programming. She was also a lead field instructor for Voyageur Outward Bound in Minnesota.

 
Alexis is a candidate for a bachelor of science in Human Development and Family Services, from Colorado State University, expected in December. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys mountain biking, skiing, whitewater rafting, and sailing, and is excited to be a part of the Clayton/River community.
