Mia Ramseier to Assume Executive Director Role in October
CLAYTON, NY (September 10, 2025) – The Thousand Islands Arts Center ~ Home of the Handweaving Museum has selected Mia Ramseier as its new Executive Director, effective October 6, 2025. Ms. Ramseier brings years of community engagement, development and brand management to the organization and will guide the Arts Center through a pivotal period of growth, including the completion of the major campus expansion and the development and launch of new strategic initiatives. Ms. Ramseier replaces Sarah Riddoch who has served as the Executive Director since January 2024.

Ms. Ramseier’s leadership will build upon the incredible momentum we have gained.”

We truly appreciate her expertise and efforts over this time, and we respect her decision to step down.”

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization’s operations and championing our mission to advance art, craft and our unique handwoven textile collection through education and exhibition.
Ms. Ramseier comes to the Arts Center from River Hospital, where she most recently served as the Director of Marketing & Community Relations. She began her career at Car-Freshner, holding various positions, including in brand management and new product launches. Ms. Ramseier is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
