Kathy Morris joins TIAC staff

CLAYTON, NY (June 28, 2021) – The Thousand Islands Arts Center (TIAC) is pleased to announce that Kathleen Morris has joined the organization as Staff Potter.
Leslie W. Rowland, TIAC’s Executive Director, said: “After a longtime association with Kathy as a volunteer and active potter in our studio, we are delighted to officially welcome Kathy to the TIAC Team. For many years, while working full-time at Jefferson Community College (JCC), Kathy maintained our pottery studio, held open studio hours, taught pottery lessons and promoted our pottery program every step of the way.”
Ms. Morris has over 35 years of experience in the education field in a variety of settings including program and building administration, professional development, and educational program design, development and implementation.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Art from Kean University in Union, New Jersey, and a Master of Arts, Education from SUNY Potsdam. She most recently retired from JCC as Director of Community Services, Workforce Development and Business Division.
